Universe

In these playful explorations, Kathleen looks at the Universe and our reaction to it. Who hasn't dreamed of scary aliens invading from afar, imagined what makes up the rings of Saturn, wondered what it would be like living in the caves of Mars, thought about when we might be drawn into the black hole that keeps our galaxy together or seen heaven when we look up at the stars? These silkscreens use a variety of animals to represent life as they ponder these questions and more. Come and let your mind take a journey with these not so scary life forms.

Exhibitions: The Universe Series' graphite drawings were first shown at the Alexey von Schlippe Gallery in her solo exhibition back in 2014. Then Kathleen's intaglio prints were exhibited at Kehler Liddel Gallery in their New Members Show in 2015 and in her solo exhibition at Artists Live located at the Nash-Zimmer Transporation Center, 23 Royce Circle in Storrs, Connecticut, November 1 - November 30, 2017. Now her silkscreen prints will be exhibited at Earth & Fire Art Gallery and 2018 Essex Town Green Outdoor Summer Arts Festival.  The Earth & Fire Art Gallery exhibition will run for three months with an Opening reception on April 28th from 4-7pm at 2 Main Street, Essex, CT.
